National Productivity Council (NPC), set up in 1958 by the government of India as an autonomousorganization, now under DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI has been in the forefront of theproductivity movement in India.

Indian Potash Limited has established the IPL Centre for Rural Outreach (ICRO) with the involvement, technical expertise andresource of National Productivity Council (NPC).

The objectives of this Centre are amongst other ruraloutreach and capacity development activities for farmers and youth and the IPL-Amrit Internship programfocused on productivity for livelihood enhancement.

The next step is that these interns will meetsmall and marginal farmers. A questionnaire on google form has been developed to be used by the intern togather information from the farmers. This will enable identification of gaps in farmers’ awareness ofagriculture practices & government schemes and any other gap that can be addressed on conclusion of thedata collection.

The internship period is for three months and ICRO offers a stipend of Rs.6000/- per month. At the end ofthe internship period, each intern is expected to meet 100 framers, study the e-learning module & pass theassessment test and submit a feedback form. The stipend is released based on number of responsesreceived from the farmers and quality of data collected.

We have taken the project of Rural Outreach Programme through Amrit Interns an initiative of IPL Centre for Rural Outreach to farmers of Mehsana district.

Surveying are carrying by Interns, identified by the KVK Mehsana and Various information of farmers are filling the Google form by them in the field.  There are 100 farmers target by each of them and so they total 5000 farmers will covered in coming three months.
